Healthy Puppies Start with Healthy Nutrition

Home of Goldens Adoption, we believe that proper nutrition is the foundation of a happy, energetic, and long-lived Golden Retriever. From birth to adoption, every puppy in our care receives a well-balanced diet designed to support growth, immunity, and overall wellness.

We follow a veterinarian-approved feeding program tailored to the unique needs of Golden Retrievers — ensuring they develop strong bones, shiny coats, and healthy hearts.

Our Feeding Program

We feed all our Golden Retriever puppies with high-quality premium puppy food formulated for large breeds. This food provides essential nutrients that promote steady growth and prevent bone or joint problems common in fast-growing puppies.

Our diet includes:

  • High Protein (Chicken, Salmon, or Lamb): Supports muscle growth and tissue repair.

  • Healthy Fats (Omega 3 & 6): Promotes skin health and a glossy coat.

  • Whole Grains & Vegetables: Provide sustained energy and aid digestion.

  • Essential Vitamins & Minerals: Strengthen the immune system and bone structure.

Supplements & Treats

We use natural treats during training and offer vet-approved supplements when needed. These include:

  • Calcium & Vitamin D for strong bones

  • Fish Oil for healthy joints and coat

  • Probiotics for digestion

We avoid artificial colors, preservatives, and filler ingredients to ensure our puppies grow naturally strong and healthy.

After Adoption

When you take your puppy home, you’ll receive a detailed feeding guide including:

  • Recommended food brands

  • Portion size by age and weight

  • Transition tips for changing diets

  • List of safe and unsafe human foods

We also encourage new owners to maintain a regular feeding schedule and monitor their puppy’s body condition — a healthy Golden should have visible curves and a strong, active posture.
